Research Topics

  • Mathematics education, with Guy Brousseau’s theory of didactic situations and Yves Chevallard’s anthropological theory of didactics as its main theoretical frameworks
  • Analysis of Teaching Practices and Learning from Preschool Through Early Secondary School
  • The concept of "reprise" (Larguier, 2005, 2009) lies between systematic revision and an advancement of chronogenesis.
  • Teaching Methods in Number Theory and Algebra
  • An Introduction to Algebra
  • Analysis of language, particularly using the theoretical framework developed by the Bordeaux team led by Bernié (concepts of genre secondaryization and discursive community).

Courses

  • TU mathematics education in the MEEF Master’s program for elementary school teachers, in the MEEF Master’s program with a mathematics track, and in the Master’s program for certified elementary school teachers
  • TU related to the master's thesis in the preceding master's programs
  • MasterTU MEEF (Primary Education) program on project-based pedagogy.

Responsibilities

  • Head of several course units in the various master’s programs listed above
  • Scientific Director of the Hérault Departmental Mathematics Group and the IREM Primary Education Group.
