Research Topics

• Mathematics Education, with Guy Brousseau’s theory of didactic situations and Yves Chevallard’s anthropological theory of didactics as its main theoretical frameworks
• Analysis of Teaching Practices and Learning from Preschool Through Early Secondary School
• The concept of “reprise” (Larguier, 2005, 2009) lies between systematic revision and an advanced understanding of chronogenesis.
• Teaching Methods in the Fields of Numbers and Algebra
• An Introduction to Algebra
• Analysis of language, particularly using the theoretical framework developed by the Bordeaux team led by Bernié (concepts of genre secondaryization and discursive community).

Responsibilities

• Head of several course units in the various master’s programs listed above
• Scientific Director of the Hérault Departmental Mathematics Group and the IREM Elementary Education Group.
