RESEARCH TOPICS

My research is in the field of the sociology of education and work. I examine how educational policies are adopted and implemented by stakeholders in school settings (particularly teachers), with a focus on collective processes. I am interested in how professionals, whether from the same group or different groups, interact within the framework of requirements and incentives for coordination in educational policies. The aim is to observe what these collective dynamics between professionals produce and how they transform their actions and activities, both at the individual and collective levels. As part of my dissertation, my research focused on the collective work mandated in priority education for elementary and middle school teachers within cross-grade-level programs (5th grade–6th grade), examining the tensions and connections with the development of cooperation. My current work focuses on studying the various forms that collective work takes in elementary and middle schools, among professionals (teachers, specialized staff, etc.) responsible for implementing educational policy guidelines, such as “well-being” practices and coeducation.
