Research Topics

A technological research program focused on training, comprising three components: a) analysis of “situated activity” in the workplace (education, healthcare, sports), b) “activity-oriented” design of training situations, and c) analysis of participants’ activities in these new training environments. Study of the phenomena and processes of professional learning and development facilitated by the use of video resources in training (alloconfrontation and autoconfrontation).

Courses

Frameworks for analyzing classroom activities; methods for gaining practical experience; core curriculum: classroom management, conflict resolution, assessment, learning, secularism, differentiated instruction, diverse teaching contexts, analysis of teaching practices; video-based training; professional support.

Responsibilities

  • Director of the TF&D (Work, Training, and Development) research team, comprising 22 faculty researchers at LIRDEF, EA 3749 (since 2004).
  • Director of the CTE EEF (Thematic Council on Epistemology, Teaching, Education, and Training) at the University of Montpellier 2 (2013–2016).
  • Elected member of the Faculty of Education Council at the University of Montpellier (since 2013).

  • Academic Director of the TERE track (“Teaching and Educational Relationships”) in the Master’s program in Teaching, Education, and Training, with a specialization in PIF (since 2015).
  • Academic Director ofTU “Interdisciplinary Professional Support Group,” shared by the Master’s 2 programs in “Secondary Education” at five universities (450 students, 20 instructors, and 40 school administrators) (since 2010).
