My research focuses primarily on the analysis of work and activity. In this regard, my main approach draws on the conceptual framework of professional didactics (Pastré) and the “clinic of activity” (Clot). I also work with the model of professional adjustment strategies (Bucheton), which analyzes the overarching concerns of teachers and trainers in real-world situations. The contexts in which my research takes place are initial and continuing vocational education and, more generally, adult education. I am also interested in training methods involving simulation in education, skills assessment, and the development of professional knowledge.
