Alain Jean

My research focuses primarily on the analysis of work and activity. In this regard, my main approach is grounded in the conceptual framework of professional didactics (Pastré) and the clinic of activity (Clot). I also work with the model of professional adjustment gestures (Bucheton), which analyzes the overarching concerns of teachers and trainers in real-world situations. My research is conducted within the contexts of initial and continuing vocational training and, more broadly, adult education. I am also interested in training methods involving simulation, competency assessment, and the development of professional knowledge.
