Alain Jean

My research topics focus primarily on the analysis of work and activity. In this sense, my main approach is based on the conceptual framework of professional didactics (Pastré) and activity clinic (Clot). I also work with the model of professional adjustment gestures (Bucheton), which analyzes the macro-concerns of teachers or trainers in real-life situations. The frameworks within which my research evolves are initial and continuing vocational training and, more generally, adult education. I am also interested in training methods involving simulation in training, skills assessment, and the construction of professional knowledge.
