Alain Jean

My research focuses on the analysis of work and activity. In this sense, my main approach is based on the conceptual framework of professional didactics (Pastré) and the clinics of activity (Clot). I also work with the model of professional gestures of adjustment (Bucheton), which analyzes the macro-preoccupations of teachers or trainers in real-life situations. The frameworks in which my research evolves are initial and continuing vocational training and, more generally, adult education. I'm also interested in training systems based on simulation, skills assessment and the construction of professional knowledge.
