POSITION: Associate Professor of Mathematics Education

RESEARCH TOPICS

My research falls within the field of mathematics education and focuses on the practices of elementary and secondary school teachers. The focus is on teachers’ lesson planning, that is, the work they do both inside and outside the classroom to design their lesson content.

  • An analysis of the teaching practices of high school mathematics teachers engaged in interdisciplinary instruction who are required to design and implement lessons based on inquiry-based approaches. The role of the collective and the resulting professional development.
  • A Study of the Impact of Initial Teacher Training on the Practices of Beginning Teachers During Mathematical Problem-Solving Sessions in Elementary School.

Most of my teaching is part of the Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s program and the Master’s in Elementary Education (MEEF), but I also teach in the Master’s in Science Education and the Master’s in Science and Technology Education (MEEF SNT – NSI).
