• The use of images as an educational tool in fostering critical thinking through visual materials in elementary school.
• Attention to images through a visual arts approach: an education in questioning the visible as depicted in images.
• The Use of Photographic Images in Education: From Tautology to Distancing, Developing a Critical Approach to Images and the Ability to See.
• The practice and study of the visual arts—and photography in particular—to cultivate and nurture an awareness of the world and of others, the patience required in the studio, the joy of experimentation, physical engagement, and curiosity.
