• Create a research space for disciplines that share a common focus: the work of art and its teaching practices. Address issues common to disciplines involved in arts and cultural education and instruction (PEAC, HDA, etc.)…
• To highlight the specific contribution of these courses to “fundamental skills” and the objectives of the “common core,” while preserving their unique characteristics.
• To contribute to a critical examination of contemporary curriculum developments
• Build on the strengths of stakeholders—their practices, needs, and creativity—and focus on supporting their development rather than simply “training” them.
