The University of Burgundy has a vacancy for a Higher Education Pedagogical Advisor (M/F).

Mission
The pedagogical advisor in higher education supports teachers and teaching teams in their initial and ongoing professional development, in order to contribute to the quality of teaching. They are also involved in implementing the school's educational policy.

Main activities

  • Participate in needs analysis, design and implementation of pedagogical training programs for the school's teachers.
  • Identifying training needs
  • Development of the training offer
  • Search for and follow-up with experts
  • Quantitative and qualitative assessment of the training offer
  • Registration management
  • Certificate management
  • Conduct teacher training workshops
  • Formulating teaching objectives
  • Content selection
  • Choice of work and animation methods
  • Material preparation
  • Workshop animation
  • Measuring workshop impact (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Design and distribute documentary resources to support teachers and teaching teams in their ongoing professional development, encourage reflective thinking about teaching practices, and promote the teaching mission and pedagogical initiatives.

Related activities

  • Promote exchanges and develop networks between all those involved in teaching within the school (development of communities of practice) and outside (national and international working networks with other teams of educational advisors).
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of research in higher education pedagogy through scientific monitoring and participation in educational research projects.
  • Support the implementation of training and teaching evaluation to contribute to the quality of teaching.

Expected skills

Knowledge

  • Mastery of educational theories, concepts and methods
  • Mastery of pedagogical and training engineering tools
  • In-depth knowledge of coaching methodologies (individual and organizational).
  • General knowledge of the organization and operation of the university, and the professional context of the target audience (teacher-researchers); knowledge of information and communication technologies and their application to teaching.
  • Knowledge of teaching evaluation systems.
  • Knowledge of survey and interview methods and techniques in the human sciences.
  • English: written and oral comprehension and expression

Know-how

  • Identify the pedagogical training needs of higher education teachers, and design and run training workshops.
  • Conducting interviews: welcoming, listening, advising and supporting.
  • Master group facilitation techniques.
  • Master oral and written presentation techniques.
  • Develop teaching aids.
  • Monitor scientific developments in higher education pedagogy.
  • Design a communication campaign.

Know-how

  • Working as part of a team and in partnership: mobilizing and leading a group and a network of players and exchanging practices.
  • Methodological rigor, ability to analyze and synthesize.
  • Empathetic, listening, non-prescriptive and reflective posture

Expected profile

Master's degree in one of the following fields Education Sciences, Psychology, Sociology

Professional experience in teaching and/or adult training and/or educational engineering would be a plus.

Place of work

This activity takes place at the Centre d'Innovation Pédagogique et d'Evaluation (CIPE) of the University of Burgundy Pôle AAFE, Esplanade Erasme, Dijon.

On-call duty and conditions

Working hours may vary according to the university calendar and professional constraints. Travel in France and abroad may be necessary from time to time.

Job identification

  • Status: contract employee of the university for a period of 1 year, renewable up to one year before taking the national competitive examination for permanent civil servant.
  • Grade: Design engineer
  • UFR, Direction, Service : CIPE, ESPE, Université de Bourgogne
  • Position in the organization chart: reporting to the Director and the Head of Pedagogical Innovation
  • Salary: IGE grade, step according to experience
