Digital Humanities: engagement and learning at university

June 23-25, 2025 Montpellier (France)

he Digital Humanities: engagement and learning at university conference will explore the role of digital humanities in transforming teaching and learning practices at university. Going beyond mere technological digitization, we'll be looking at relationships to knowledge, issues of inclusion and pedagogical dynamics in the digital age. We will focus on three main themes:

  1. Digital citizenship: training enlightened, responsible citizens through a better understanding of digital uses.
  2. Teaching-learning methods: adapt teaching approaches to stimulate student involvement, autonomy and success.
  3. Training systems: promote pedagogical innovations that enable students to play an active role in their own learning.

Organized as part of Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3's Nexus project, this symposium invites researchers, teachers and students to discuss the conditions for a university that is resolutely adapted to the contemporary challenges of building inclusive and efficient learning environments in the digital age.
