Digital Humanities: Engagement and Learning at the University
June 23–25, 2025, Montpellier(France)
The conference “Digital Humanities: Engagement and Learning at the University” offersa reflection on the role of the digital humanities in transforming teaching and learning practices at the university. Moving beyond mere technological digitization, we will examine relationships to knowledge, issues of inclusion, and pedagogical dynamics in the digital age. Our discussion will be structured around three themes:
- Digital Citizenship: Fostering informed and responsible citizens through a better understanding of digital practices.
- Teaching and Learning Methods: Adapting pedagogical approaches to foster student engagement, autonomy, and success.
- Training Programs: Promoting pedagogical innovations that empower students to take an active role in their own learning.
Organized as part of the Nexus project at Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 University, this conference invites researchers, faculty, and students to discuss the conditions necessary for a university that is fully equipped to meet the contemporary challenges of creating inclusive and efficient learning environments in the digital age.
