Tréma. Didactic uses of comics

Proposals for articles should be sent no later than February 15, 2018.

There seems to be a consensus that comics have a place in schools, and we see them being used in a wide range of disciplines, from primary school to university.
Questions then arise as to what is being done with, or about, comics. Are comics becoming commonplace in the classroom, and to what extent, and for what purposes? How can the specificity of the medium be taken into account in the activities that mobilize it? What pitfalls need to be avoided, particularly with regard to the skills expected of pupils and students, who are sometimes underestimated because of the supposed ease of reading offered by comics?
This issue of Tréma, an international journal in educational science, will address these issues of the didactic uses of comics.

Text of the call for papers

1. The place of comics in actual teaching practices

 2. The specificity of the medium.

3. Pupil/student skills.
