Tréma. Educational uses of comic strips

Article proposals must be submitted by February 15, 2018, at the latest.

There seems to be a consensus that comic books have a place in schools, and they are used in many subjects, from elementary school to university.
This raises questions about what is being done with or about comic books. Are comic books becoming commonplace in classrooms, and if so, to what extent and in what ways? How can the specific nature of the medium be taken into account in the activities that use it? What pitfalls should be avoided, particularly with regard to the skills expected of pupils and students, which are sometimes underestimated because of the supposed ease of reading offered by comics?
This issue of Tréma, an international journal of educational sciences, will address these issues surrounding the educational uses of comics.

Text of the call for contributions

1. The place of comic books in actual teaching practices

 2. The specificity of the medium.

3. The skills of pupils/students.
