Call for Papers: EARLI SIG 14 International Symposium
The9th editionof the EARLI SIG 14 Learning and Professional Development conference will take place at the University of Geneva from September 12 to 14, 2018. Following conferences in Munich in 2010, Antwerp in 2012, Oslo in 2014, and Regensburg in 2016, the Department of Education at the University of Geneva will host this major event, which brings together the research community in the field of learning in vocational education and training.The conference will be organized by the Interaction & Training team, in collaboration with Prof. Stephen Billett, SIG 14 coordinator and professor at Griffith University in Brisbane. The theme chosen for this9th editionis “Interaction,Learning, and Professional Development.” It aims to place the collective challenges of vocational education and training at the center of the discussions.
The conference will feature three plenary lectures, to be delivered by Helen Melander (Uppsala University), Pierre Dillenbourg (EPFL, Lausanne), and Claire Tourmen (University of California, Berkeley). Contributions may take the form of individual presentations, thematic symposia, posters, roundtable discussions, or data analysis sessions.
