Effective practice of analytical reading in secondary schools in France and Belgium

  • National research, initiated by Sylviane Ahr, University Professor at Université Jean Jaurès (Toulouse) and directed by Sylviane Ahr and Isabelle de Peretti (Université d'Artois).
  • In association with numerous research centers, Ema and CRTF (Cergy Pontoise), Textes et cultures (Arras), Litextra (Université Stendhal, Grenoble), LLA Creatis (Université Jean Jaurès Toulouse), Crépidis, UCL (Louvain-la-Neuve) and ALFA LIRDEF (Montpellier).
  • 13 researchers involved in France and Belgium.
  • The protocol will focus first and foremost on the analysis of situations in which literature is taught and learned, as well as on the choice of corpus and pedagogical tools. This protocol is designed to vary the survey sites from a geographical and sociological point of view.

Objectives

- Analyze the effects of teaching practices on student learning
- Identify the conceptions of literature and its learning on which these practices are based
- Identify possible areas of transformation in literature teaching practices, with a view to adapting them to today's culture and society
- Identify the points of rupture between the two secondary school cycles, with a view to ensuring continuity of learning.
