Thesis summary:

This research questions the self-prescription of the ESD curriculum in elementary schools, and in particular the possibility of developing self-prescribed local curricula by combining a curricular and a territorial approach. The research methodology is based on qualitative empirical work carried out in two communes in the south of France. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with thirty-five local educational players (teachers, elementary school principals, associations, parent representatives, trainers, etc.). The corpus of interviews was analyzed by cross-referencing a thematic content analysis with a propositional analysis.
