CIFRE contract at the CNAF

As part of its mission to encourage research, the National Family Allowances Fund (Cnaf) is offering a three-year fixed-term contract, backed byan industrial agreement for training through research (Cifre).

Applications are open to students enrolling in their first year of doctoral studies in 2021-2022. Only research in sociology, anthropology or ethnology, political science, demography, economics, or management will be considered. The gross annual salary is €25,000 for three years.

The research activity is entirely devoted to the completion of the thesis, with an average of one day per week spent at the Cnaf. The Cnaf does not specifically expect applied or operational thesis projects.

Research topics for CIFRE thesis projects or article proposals for awards must focus on the analysis of family and social policies or social phenomena related to families or precariousness. As such, research on other countries must include a genuine comparative dimension with France.

Applications may be submitted until March 15, 2021. The selection committee will meet on June 24, 2021.
