EPS seminar on January 22, 2021

The EPS seminar on Friday, January 22, will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in room A109 and online (link to follow).

The session led by Dominique Bucheron focuses on digital technology and education issues.

"Status of a study on the issue of digital education: its tensions, aporias, dangers—not to represent all of this verbally, but to pose the question more in terms of potential research questions. How can these tensions, contradictions, revolutions in practices, behaviors, school forms, etc., be turned into research topics? With what methodologies, what existing or emerging theoretical frameworks, what protagonists? In short: how can we approach research when tackling major societal, cultural, and economic transformations? For what scientific, ethical, political, and pragmatic purposes? This question is not new, as it has been widely raised in relation to "education for," yet it remains largely ignored by the educational and scientific community.
