As part of its support for international cooperation initiatives, the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI) offers a program of internationally-focused doctoral contracts (ACI).

This scheme is open to all doctoral students enrolling for their first thesis in 2019-2020, whose research falls within the scope of the scientific programs of one of the five Écoles françaises à l'étranger(EFE):

French School of Athens,
École française de Rome,
French Institute of Oriental Archaeology,
École française d'Extrême-Orient,
Casa de Velázquez (École des hautes études hispaniques et ibériques).
